Rear Brake Rotors - Calipers and Pads - Rear Brake Caliper Sport - LH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the LH rear brake caliper onto the LH rear knuckle, and then install new bolts to attach the caliper to the knuckle.

    83 N.m (61.2 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 3 in extension
    • External Torx E18
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  2. Install the bolt that attaches a new hose to the LH rear brake caliper.

    42 N.m (31.0 lbs-ft) 

    NOTE: The bolt and washers are captive in the new hose assembly.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 11 mm 12-point deep socket

  3. Install the hose into the jounce hose bracket, and then install a new clip that attaches the brake hose to the jounce hose bracket.
    NOTE: Pay attention to the clip orientation.

  4. Install the brake line tube nut to the brake hose at the jounce hose bracket.

    16 N.m (11.8 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 3 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 12 mm socket

  5. Install the bolt that attaches the LH rear EPB harness bracket to the LH rear caliper.

    5 N.m (3.7 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 4 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 10 mm socket

  6. Connect the LH rear EPB caliper connector.

  7. Remove the oil drain from under the vehicle.
  8. Perform a brake fluid flush on the LH rear brake. See BRAKE FLUID BLEED/FLUSH (MAINTENANCE) .
