Badges - Rear Tesla Badge - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the rear Tesla badge alignment tool (1944666-00-A) into position on the trunk lid and tape the tool in place.
    NOTE: Ensure that the tool is aligned with the left edge of the rear camera.

  2. Peel the adhesive backing from the trunk badge, align the holes on the badge protective film to the locating pins of the alignment tool, and then press the badge to the trunk.

  3. Use a pressure roller (1465974-00-A) to fully adhere the badge.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the badge during the rolling process.
  4. Remove the protective film from the badge, and then remove the alignment tool from the trunk lid.
  5. Use an IPA wipe to clean the badge and the area around the badge.
