Tail Lights - Lamp Assembly, Decklid, LH - Remove And Replace: Install

Position the LH taillight stud into the grommet, and then install the taillight onto the body.

Install the nut and the bolts (x2) that attach the taillight to the vehicle.
3.2 N.m (2.4 lbs-ft)

Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Connect the electrical harness to the taillight connector, and then engage the connector lock.
CAUTION: If the connector has a red locking tab: Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the connector lock.
Install the trunk lid trim. See TRUNK INTERIOR - LOWER LIFTGATE, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 - CONNECT AND DISCONNECT .
In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then choose from the followings:
- For the LH taillight, type "TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_REAR_LIGHTS" into the search field, click⁽ⁱ⁾ , click Run , and allow the routine to complete.
- For the RH taillight, type "TEST-SELF_VCRIGHT_REAR_LIGHTS" into the search field, click⁽ⁱ⁾ , click Run , and allow the routine to complete.
Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
