Trunk Hinges And Fittings - Power Trunk Hinge LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the trunk power strut. See TRUNK HINGES AND FITTINGS - POWER STRUT LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Apply masking tape on the trunk lid and body of the vehicle to mark the position of the currently installed power trunk hinge.
- With assistance, remove the bolts (x2) that attach the trunk power hinge to the trunk lid.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
- Cordless hex driver
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the power trunk hinge to the body, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.
