Front Energy Absorber - Assembly Bumper Beam - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the front fascia assembly. See FRONT BUMPER FASCIA - FASCIA ASSEMBLY - FRONT - REMOVE AND REPLACE .NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the front fascia harness, valance and grille from the front fascia assembly.
- Remove the front bumper beam foam. See FRONT ENERGY ABSORBER - BUMPER BEAM FOAM - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Disconnect the center impact accelerometer sensor.
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the center impact accelerometer sensor bracket to the front bumper beam.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench (for installation only)
- Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the front bumper beam to the LH and RH crush cans.WARNING: The video(s) included in this procedure are meant as an overview for supplemental purposes only. Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 15 mm socket
- 15 mm Combination Wrench
- Use a pry bar to release the front bumper beam from the LH and RH crush cans.CAUTION: Do not damage the body when prying the front bumper.
Tip: Slightly tap the front bumper beam with a dead blow hammer to assist with removal of the front bumper.
- Remove the front bumper beam from the vehicle.
