Trunk Handle and Emergency Release - Liftgate Handle Assembly - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the switch to the vehicle.
  2. Install new clips that attach the trunk exterior release switch to the trunk.

  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the trunk exterior release switch and the rear facing camera.

  4. Install the trunk lid trim. See TRUNK INTERIOR - LOWER LIFTGATE, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  5. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  6. In Toolbox, select the connection status icon at the top right corner, and then select "Connect Locally".
    NOTE: The icon will turn green when the vehicle is connected.
  7. Put the key card on the center console and follow the onscreen instructions to unlock the gateway.
    WARNING: Stacking a mobile phone and a NFC card in wireless charger may damage the card.
  8. On the touchscreen, touch Vehicle Info > Driver Assist > Cameras > Reset DAS  , follow the onscreen instructions and run the routine.
  9. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag  tab, type "Calibration Mode" into the search field, click DAS Enter Calibration Mode, click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  10. Click the Actions  tab, type "back up" into the search field, click PING-HTTP_DAS_X_BACKUP-CAMERA-SCRIPT(i) , click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  11. Verify that the rear facing camera works properly.
  12. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
