Rear Door Hinges And Fittings - Hinge Rear Upper Left - Remove And Replace: Install
- Use the alignment tape to position the LH rear door upper hinge onto the body, and then hand tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the hinge to the body.
- Use the alignment tape to position the LH rear door upper hinge onto the door, and then hand tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the hinge to the door.
- Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear door upper hinge to the body.
27 N.m (19.9 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 13 mm socket
- Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear door upper hinge to the door.

Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 6 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 10 mm socket
- Remove the jack that supports the LH rear door.
- Close the LH rear door and check for gap and flushness. Adjust as necessary.NOTE: Refer to CVIS for current gap/flush specifications.
- Remove the masking tape from the door and body.
- Clean the LH rear door side upper hinge bolts with IPA wipes.NOTE: Allow 1 minute for the IPA to dry.
- Apply touch up paint on the LH rear door hinge bolts as needed.NOTE: Shake the touch up paint before applying. Allow the first coat to dry for 20 minutes before applying and second coat.
- Raise all four windows and close all four doors.
