- Remove the driver seat outboard side shield assembly from the driver seat. See FRONT SEAT COVERS AND PADS - 1ST ROW OUTBOARD SIDESHIELD, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the back rest and cushion adjust switch from the trim assembly after removing the trim from the seat.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to release the front clips (x2) that attach the driver seat outboard side shield carrier to the seat assembly.

- Partially lift the carrier and then pull it backwards to release the rear tabs (x2), and then rotate the carrier away to remove it from the seat frame.
NOTE:
Don't use too much force to prevent damage to the carrier and trim.
