Dash Panel - Glove Box with USB Assembly - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Remove the passenger footwell cover. See DASH PANEL - PASSENGER FOOTWELL COVER ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- For NA vehicles only: Remove the front passenger knee airbag. See FRONT AIR BAGS - KNEE AIR BAG, RH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the RH instrument panel end cap. See DASH PANEL - END CAP, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Release the tree clips (x2) that attach the passenger footwell duct to the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the glove box USB connector from the car computer.
- Remove the screws (x4) that attach the glove box to the instrument panel carrier.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- 2 in extension
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Release the clips (x10), locator pins (x3) and datum that attach the glove box to the instrument panel carrier.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the 2 electromagnetic switches on the both sides of the glove box.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the glove box.
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the glove box USB cable to the glove box.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
- 2 in extension
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
