Electrical - Liftgate Camera - AP4 Back Up Camera, Liftgate Handle - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the screws (x2) that attach the rear facing camera to the trunk exterior release switch.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10 N.m - 2.0 N.m
    • Phillips Screwdriver
  2. Install the trunk exterior release switch. See TRUNK HANDLE AND EMERGENCY RELEASE - LIFTGATE HANDLE ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  3. Install the trunk lid trim. See TRUNK INTERIOR - LOWER LIFTGATE, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  4. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  5. In Toolbox, select the connection status icon at the top right corner, and then select "Connect Locally".
    NOTE: The icon will turn green when the vehicle is connected.
  6. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See GATEWAY UNLOCK .
  7. Touch Vehicle Info > Driver Assist > Cameras > Reset DAS  on the touchscreen, follow the onscreen instructions and run the routine.
  8. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag  tab, type "Calibration Mode" into the search field, click DAS Enter Calibration Mode  , click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  9. Click the Actions  tab, type "back up" into the search field, click PING-HTTP_DAS_X_BACKUP-CAMERA-SCRIPT  , click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  10. Verify that the rear facing camera works properly.
  11. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
