Front Door Latch and Striker - Door Latch, Front LH, Base - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the LH front door tweeter. See FRONT DOOR TRIM PAD - DOOR TRIM, TWEETER ASSEMBLY, FRONT LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the LH front door puddle light. See INTERIOR TRIM - DOOR TRIM - FRONT DOOR TRIM PAD - PUDDLE LAMP - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the LH front door reflector. See INTERIOR TRIM - DOOR TRIM - FRONT DOOR TRIM PAD - DOOR REFLECTOR - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the LH front door trim panel. See INTERIOR TRIM - DOOR TRIM - FRONT DOOR TRIM PAD - DOOR TRIM ASSEMBLY - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Connect the window switch tool to the LH front door harness and fully raise the front LH door window.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Disconnect the LV power. See LV BATTERY - LI-ION - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
- Remove the LH front door closeout panel. See FRONT DOOR HINGES AND FITTINGS - FRONT CLOSEOUT PANEL ASSEMBLY, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .NOTE: No need to remove the LH front door pressure sensor from the LH front door closeout panel.
- Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH front door latch to the rear of the LH front door.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 1/4 in hex to 1/4 in square 6 in adapter
- Torx T30 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the LH front door latch connector.
- Press the latch cable grommet in through the door, and move the cable in through the opening while simultaneously removing the latch from the door.
