Closure Panels - Assembly - Fender - Left - Remove And Install: Install

Tip: For instructions on how to align the fender, refer to FENDER ALIGNMENT .

1. Remove the absorbent material from the vehicle.
2. Load urethane into a caulking gun, and then cut an opening that is 3.5 mm wide and 1.5 mm tall.
3. Apply a dollop of urethane on top of the primed surface of the LH outer shotgun panel.
4. Position the LH front fender onto the vehicle.
5. Install the bolt and nut that attach the lower LH front fender to the vehicle.

   9.8 N.m (7.2 lbs-ft) 

   Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

   • 10 mm deep socket
   • 4 in extension
   • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
   • Ratchet/torque wrench

6. Position the NVH cotton between the fender and body, and then install the clips (x2) that attach the NVH cotton.
   NOTE: Ensure the NVH cotton is flat and in place.

7. Install the bolt that attaches the rear LH front fender to the vehicle.

   9.8 N.m (7.2 lbs-ft) 

   Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

   • 10 mm deep socket
   • 4 in extension
   • Ratchet/torque wrench

8. Install the bolt that attaches the lower LH front fender to the vehicle.

   9.8 N.m (7.2 lbs-ft) 

   Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

   • 10 mm deep socket
   • 4 in extension
   • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
   • Ratchet/torque wrench

9. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the upper LH front fender to the vehicle.

   9.8 N.m (7.2 lbs-ft) 

   Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

   • 10 mm deep socket
   • 4 in extension
   • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
   • Ratchet/torque wrench

10. Install the LH shock tower cover. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - SHOCK TOWER COVER LH - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
11. Install the LH fascia side to fender bracket. See FRONT BUMPER FASCIA - BRACKET - FASCIA SIDE TO FENDER LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
12. Install the LH headlamp. See FRONT LIGHTS - HEAD LAMP ASSEMBLY ECE, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
13. Connect the side repeater connectors (x2).

14. Install the front fascia assembly. See FRONT BUMPER FASCIA - FASCIA ASSEMBLY - FRONT - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
15. Install the LH front wheel arch liner. See WHEEL ARCH LINERS - FRONT WHEEL LINER ASSEMBLY, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
16. Install the LH front wheel. See WHEEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
17. Install the underhood storage unit. See EXTERIOR FITTINGS - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM - FRONT LUGGAGE STORAGE COMPARTMENT - FRUNK ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
18. Connect the LV battery power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
19. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 STANDS .
