Rear Door Hinges And Fittings - Hinge Rear Lower Left - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open all four doors and lower all four windows.
  2. Apply tape to the rear door to mark the lower hinge location.

  3. Apply tape to the body to mark the rear lower hinge location.

  4. Use a jack to support the LH rear door from the bottom.
    NOTE: Make sure to use soft material to protect the painted surface.

  5. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the lower door hinge to the LH rear door.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 6 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 10 mm socket

  6. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the lower door hinge to the body.
    NOTE: Support the door hinge to make sure it does not fall in the door jam.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 13 mm socket

  7. Carefully remove the LH rear door lower hinge from the vehicle.
