Hood Latch And Release - Hood Latch Double Pull Single Actuator - Remove And Replace: Install

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the hood latch actuator to the front end carrier, but do not fully torque the bolts, and adjust the latch actuator position based on marks.

Connect the electrical connector to the hood latch actuator.

Install the hood latch actuator cable to the hood latch.
NOTE: Secure the cable end to the latch arm, and then attach the clip.

Close the hood and verify alignment is within specification. If necessary, open the hood and repeat step 1 + and step 3 + until alignment is satisfactory.
Fully tighten the bolts.
8 N.m (5.9 lbs-ft)

Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
Install the underhood storage unit. See EXTERIOR FITTINGS - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM - FRONT LUGGAGE STORAGE COMPARTMENT - FRUNK ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the access panel. See FRONT BUMPER FASCIA - ASSEMBLY, ACCESS PANEL - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the cabin intake duct. See CABIN HVAC - HVAC, FRESH AIR GUTTER, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
Install the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
