Hood Hinges And Fittings - Hood Strut - Remove And Replace: Install
- Lubricate the pivot points for the hood gas strut.
- The rod end of the hood gas strut mounts to the body and the body side of the hood gas strut mounts to the hood assembly.
- Install the clip that attaches the hood gas strut to the body mount, and then install the hood gas strut to the vehicle.

- Install the clip that attaches the hood gas strut to the hood mount.

- Remove the hood assembly prop from the vehicle.
- Close the hood.
