Fascia - Front - Remove and Install: Remove
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD APRON - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the cabin intake duct. See DUCT - CABIN INTAKE (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the hood latch cover. See COVER - HOOD LATCH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the underhood storage unit carpet. See CARPET - UNDERHOOD STORAGE (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See UNDERHOOD STORAGE UNIT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the bolts that attach the top of the front fascia to the vehicle.
4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- 1/4 in std ratchet
- 2 in extension
- Wurth 1/4 in hexagon 1 N.m - 5 N.m torque wrench (installation only)
- 1/4 in hex to 1/4 in square 2 in adapter
- Remove the clips (x5) that attach the front of the LH wheel arch liner to the front fascia, and then pull the liner back to access the fascia to fender bolts.NOTE: Turn the steering wheel to the right for additional clearance.
Tip: Although not necessary to perform this procedure, consider placing the vehicle on a 2-post lift to gain better access to the fasteners in the following steps.
- Loosen the forward bolts (x2) that attach the LH side of the front fascia to the fender.
4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 6 in extension
- Wurth 1/4 in hexagon 1 N.m - 5 N.m torque wrench (installation only)
- 1/4 in hex to 1/4 in square 2 in adapter
- Remove the outermost bolt that attaches the LH corner of the front fascia to the fender.
3 N.m (2.2 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 6 in extension
- Wurth 1/4 in hexagon 1 N.m - 5 N.m torque wrench (installation only)
- 1/4 in hex to 1/4 in square 2 in adapter
- Repeat steps 7 to 9 on the RH side of the vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the front fascia in the RH wheel well.
Tip: Slide the locking tab away from the connector, and then press down on the tab to release the connector.
- Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the front aero shield to the front valance.
5 N.m (3.7 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- 4 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove the clips (x1 on each side) that attach the lower valance to the front stabilizer bar brackets.
- If present, release the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the pedestrian warning speaker assembly.
- If present, slide the locking tab away from the connector, and then press down on the locking tab to disconnect the connector from the pedestrian warning speaker assembly.
- With an assistant, release both corners of the front fascia, and then carefully pull the fascia forward to remove it from the vehicle. Place the fascia on a padded surface.CAUTION: Carefully release the tabs that attach the lower headlight bracket to the front fascia, otherwise the tabs can be broken.
