Seat Assembly - 1st Row - RH - Remove And Replace: Install
- With assistance, position the 1st row RH seat into the vehicle.CAUTION: Take care not to damage surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle.
- With assistance, position the 1st row RH seat to gain access to the underside of the seat.
- Fasten the clip that attaches the RH side body harness to the 1st row RH seat assembly, connect the harness electrical connectors (x2), and then engage the red locking tab on the black connector.
- With assistance, move the 1st row RH seat to the upright position.
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Move the RH 1st row seat forward.
- Install new bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the 1st row RH seat seat tracks to the vehicle.
34 N.m (25.1 ft-lbs)
NOTE:- Torx Plus T45 socket
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Install the front seat belt linkage to the pretensioner:
- Make sure the lock screw is in the horizontal position. If the lock screw is not in the horizontal position, follow the release instructions to unlock it.
- Verify there are no twists in the seat belt from the upper B-pillar trim to the pretensioner.
- Install the linkage onto the pretensioner cable.
- Perform a firm pull test on the seat belt with at least 15 pounds of force.multimedia:A supplement to the article is available.
- Close the RH rear door and raise the RH rear window.
- Move the 1st row RH seat rearward.
- Install new bolts (x2) that attach the front of the 1st row RH seat tracks to the vehicle.
34 N.m (25.1 ft-lbs)
NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Move the 1st row RH seat to the middle of the track.
- Inspect the 1st row RH seat Occupant Classification System (OCS) module revision number, and then choose from the following:
- If the OCS module revision number is A-C, redeploy the vehicle firmware using Toolbox 3. See Firmware Reinstall - Toolbox , and then go to 20.
- If the OCS module revision number is D, continue to the next step.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then search for 'Calibration'.
- Click PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATE, and then click Run
and allow the routine to complete.NOTE: Verify that there are no items on the 1st row RH seat during this routine.NOTE: Select the "X" at the top right of window to close once complete.
- Use the vehicle touchscreen to calibrate the LH and RH rear doors.
- Disconnect Toolbox 3 and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
- Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
