Campaign Bulletin: This campaign bulletin addresses a non-safety-related condition and provides recommended technical diagnosis and repair procedures. Apply this procedure to the applicable vehicles.
CONDITION
On certain Model S and Model X vehicles built between approximately January 2021 and September 22, 2022, the High Voltage (HV) battery ports' plungers intended for internal water leak egress (also known as flood ports) can be replaced with plungers that are more robust against external ingress due to submersion during flooding or other similar high-severity abuse instances.
CORRECTION
Replace all 5 flood port plungers with updated parts.
NOTE:
If this bulletin is applicable to the vehicle, perform the correction without any need for inspection.

PROCEDURE
Replace the flood port plungers (x5) (refer to Service Manual procedure 16102712; Model S , Model X ).
CAUTION:
The Service Manual procedure only replaces the flood port plunger (Figure 1). Do not
replace the flood port housing.
NOTE:
Use the HV Battery Limited Warranty pay type. If the HV Battery Limited Warranty is expired, use the Goodwill pay type.
