Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH - 5-Seat | Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See TRIM - C-PILLAR - LOWER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH 2nd row seatback. See SEAT BACK - 2ND ROW - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .NOTE: During removal of the LH 2nd row seat back in the referenced procedure, do not remove the LH and center seat belt buckles nor the center seat belt retractor from the seat back frame.
- Place the LH 2nd row seatback assembly on a safe and stable work area.CAUTION: Fold down the center armrest to stabilize the weight, and use a ballast bag for additional support as needed.
- Fold the LH 2nd row seat back to the upright position.
- Remove the LH 2nd row headrest. See HEADREST - 2ND ROW - OUTER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH 2nd row headrest guide adjustment. See ADJUSTMENT GUIDE - HEADREST - 2ND ROW (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH 2nd row headrest guide lock. See GUIDE LOCK - HEADREST - 2ND ROW (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH 2nd row escutcheon. See ESCUTCHEON - 2ND ROW - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH 2nd row seat back shoulder switch. See SHOULDER SWITCH - SEAT BACK - 2ND ROW - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH 2nd row seatback panel. See BACK PANEL - 2ND ROW SEAT - RH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove and discard the lower anchor bolt that attaches the seat belt to the lower seat frame.
Torque 40 N.m
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 6 in extension
- Remove the LH 2nd row outer B-cover. See B-COVER - OUTER - 2ND ROW - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the clips that attaches the upholstery support to the LH 2nd row seat rail.
- Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat heater electrical connector, and then remove the clip that attaches the connector to the seat.
- Lift the upholstery support up to unhook it from the LH 2nd row seat rail.
- Feed the center retractor seat belt through the upholstery.
- Release the hook and tabs (x20) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back upholstery trim flaps from the upholstery support.
- Gently separate the upholstery from the foam backing starting from the bottom of the lower seat back working upward.NOTE: Make sure the velcro does not tear off the cushion.
- Use diagonal cutters to cut the hog rings (x3) at the center of the seat back, and then release the cover from the hog rings.
- Separate the remaining portion of the LH seat back upholstery trim cover from the seat.
