- Move the driver seat and the front passenger seat fully forward.
NOTE:
Note the position of the driver seat and the front passenger seat prior to movement so that both seats are restored to their original position during installation.
- Lift the front edge of the 2nd row lower seat cushion upward, and then rest the cushion against the 2nd row seat back.

- Disconnect the electrical connector on the LH side of the seat cushion, and then remove the seat cushion from the vehicle.
CAUTION:
If performing additional procedures that require folding the second row seatback down with the lower cushion removed, do not place any additional weight on the seatbacks. Doing so may damage the seat frame alignment tabs, which can cause unevenness between the 60 and 40 seatbacks.

- Inspect the penthouse probe lid cover on the penthouse for the presence of a breather.

- If the breather is missing, install one now.
NOTE:
After installing the breather, if necessary, return to the procedure that required removal of the 2nd row lower seat cushion.
