Camera - B-Pillar - LH - AP4 - Remove and Replace: Install

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the camera to the LH B-pillar. 0.6 N.m (5 lbs - in) 

    Tip:

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T10 bit
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  2. Remove the LH B-pillar applique assembly. See APPLIQUE (B-PILLAR) - LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  3. Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  4. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See GATEWAY (UNLOCK) .
  5. Reset the vehicle DAS using the touchscreen: Service Mode > Driver Assist > Cameras > Reset DAS  .
  6. Click on the Actions  tab, search for "calibration mode", and then Run  the DAS Enter Calibration Mode  routine.
  7. Click on the Actions  tab, search for "B-pillar", and then Run  the PING-HTTP_DAS_L_B-PILLAR-CAMERA-SCRIPT  routine.
  8. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from the vehicle.
  9. Exit Service Mode.
  10. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  11. Inform the customer that manual driving is now required to self-calibrate the camera.
    NOTE: Self-calibration can take up to 100 miles (160 km) of manual driving, depending upon the road type and condition. Until self-calibration is complete, the message "Autopilot Features Currently Unavailable: Manual Driving Required While Camera Is Calibrating" is displayed if an attempt is made to engage an Autopilot feature.
