Glass - Body - Rear Quarter - LH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Apply primer to the urethane path and any areas where the paint was damaged during the removal of the LH rear quarter body glass. Allow the primer to dry for at least 1 minute.
  2. Remove the masking tape from the rear quarter glass area.
  3. Prepare the caulking gun and urethane.
NOTE: The urethane opening must be 8 mm wide and 13 mm tall.
  4. Apply urethane to the LH rear quarter glass, following the original path.
NOTE: To avoid future NVH issues, pinch the ends of the urethane together, and make sure there are no gaps in the urethane.
  5. Position the LH rear quarter body glass over the vehicle and slide the rear quarter brightwork clip into the upper brightwork.
NOTE: Make sure the locating posts are aligned with the holes on the body, and then install the rear quarter body glass onto the body by applying pressure from the rear locating post, and then work forward.
NOTE: Start from the rear locating post will help with the fitment of the rear quarter brightwork to the body.
  6. Use tape to secure the LH rear quarter body glass to the body while the urethane cures.
  7. Position the LH upper C-Pillar trim on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x6) and tab (x1) that attach the trim to the vehicle.
NOTE: Align the upper groove in the front portion of the C-Pillar trim with the headliner, and make sure the trunk seal is positioned over the trim.
