Amplifier - Audio - External - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open all doors and fully lower all windows.
  2. Move the front seats fully forward.
  3. Open the liftgate.
  4. Remove the 2nd lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See TRIM - C-PILLAR - LOWER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  6. Remove the RH frunk side trim. See Trim - Side - frunk - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  7. Disconnect the connectors (x3) and release clip from the audio amplifier.

  8. Remove the nuts and bolt that attach the amplifier to the vehicle.

    5.4 N.m (4.0 ft-lbs) 

    NOTE: Discard the nyloc nuts after removal.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet

  9. Lift the amplifier up and away from the body to release the tab, and then remove the amplifier from the vehicle.
