Podium - 1st Row - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the 1st row podium into the vehicle, and then install new bolts (x4) that attach the podium to the vehicle.

    33 N.m (24.3 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 13 mm socket

  2. Secure the tabs (x2) that attach the duct to the 1st row podium.

  3. Position the 1st row podium seat riser carpet into the vehicle, and then install the clip that attaches the carpet to the vehicle.

  4. Position the center console HVAC duct into the vehicle, and then install the clip that attaches the duct to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Slide the duct into the HVAC assembly and make sure the duct is fully seated.

  5. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the driver seat harness to the driver seat inner riser.

  6. Position the front passenger seat inner riser inboard cover onto the riser, and then secure the clips that attach the cover to the riser. Repeat this step for the front passenger inner riser outboard cover.
    NOTE: Install the inboard cover first, and then the outboard cover.
    NOTE: Be sure to route the seat harness through the outboard cover.

  7. Position the driver seat inner riser inboard cover onto the riser, and then secure the clips that attach the cover to the riser. Repeat this step for the driver seat inner riser outboard cover.
    NOTE: Install the inboard cover first, and then the outboard cover.
    NOTE: Be sure to route the seat harness through the outboard cover.

  8. Install the 1st row center console assembly. See Center Console Assembly - 1st Row (Remove and Install)
    NOTE: The front seats will be installed at a later step.
  9. Position the driver seat outer riser assembly into the vehicle, and then install new bolts (x2) that attach the assembly to the vehicle.

    33 N.m (24.3 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 13 mm socket

  10. With assistance, position the driver seat into the vehicle.
    CAUTION: Take care not to damage the surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle.
  11. With assistance, position the driver seat to gain access to the underside of the seat.
  12. Secure the clip that attaches the LH side body harness to the seat assembly, connect the LH side body harness electrical connectors (x2) to the seat controller, and then secure the connector lock.

  13. With assistance, move the driver seat to the upright position.
  14. Position the front passenger seat outer riser assembly into the vehicle, and then install new bolts (x2) that attach the assembly to the vehicle.

    33 N.m (24.3 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 13 mm socket

  15. With assistance, position the front passenger seat into the vehicle.
    CAUTION: Take care not to damage surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle.
  16. With assistance, position the front passenger seat to gain access to the underside of the seat.
  17. Secure the clip that attaches the RH side body harness to the seat assembly, connect the RH side body harness electrical connectors (x2) to the seat controller, and then secure the connector lock.

  18. With assistance, position the front passenger seat to the upright position.
  19. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
  20. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  21. Calibrate the rear doors.
    NOTE: If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate  to calibrate the rear doors
  22. Move front passenger seat forward.
  23. Position the RH front seat belt to the seat, and then engage the lock mechanism that attaches the RH front seat belt to the seat.
    NOTE: Rotate the lock clockwise to reattach the seat belt.

  24. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the front passenger seat - seat tracks to the vehicle.

    34 N.m (25.1 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx Plus T45 socket

  25. Move the front passenger seat rearward.
  26. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the front of the front passenger seat - seat tracks to the vehicle.

    34 N.m (25.1 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx Plus T45 socket

  27. Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
  28. Close the RH front door.
  29. Repeat step  27 for the LH side of the vehicle.
