Seat Assembly - 1st Row - RH - Remove And Install: Install
- With assistance, position the 1st row RH seat into the vehicle.CAUTION: Take care not to damage the surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle.
- Secure the clip that attaches the RH side body harness to the seat assembly, connect the RH side body harness electrical connectors (x2) to the seat controller, and then secure the connector lock.
- With assistance, move the 1st row RH seat to the upright position.
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Move the 1st row RH seat forward.
- Position the RH front seat belt to the seat, and then engage the lock mechanism that attaches the LH front seat belt to the seat.
- Make sure the lock screw is in the horizontal position. If the lock screw is not in the horizontal position, follow the release instructions to unlock it.
- Verify there are no twists in the seat belt from the upper B-pillar trim to the pretensioner.
- Install the linkage onto the pretensioner cable.NOTE: An audible click will be heard.NOTE: The lock screw will rotate back to the locked position.
- Perform a firm pull test on the seat belt with at least 15 pounds of force.multimedia:A supplement to the article is available.
- Install new bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the 1st row RH seat - seat tracks to the vehicle.
34 N.m (25.1 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Move the 1st row RH seat rearward.
- Install new bolts (x2) that attach the front of the 1st row RH seat - seat tracks to the vehicle.

Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx Plus T45 socket
- Move 1st row RH seat to the original position.
- Close the RH front door.
- Calibrate the rear doors.NOTE: If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then search for "Calibration".
- Click PROC_VCSEATP_SEAT-CALIBRATE, and then click Run
and allow the routine to complete.NOTE: Verify that no items are on seat during the routine.NOTE: Click the X at the top right of the window to close once complete.
- Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
