Valance - Front Fascia - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower both front windows.
- Press the brake pedal to turn on drive rails.
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the right.
- Remove the clips (x3) and the bolt that attach the LH front wheel liner to the valance, and then move the front portion of wheel liner backwards to access the fairing.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Torx T30 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front wheel fairing to the valance.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- HW4 vehicles only:
Release the clips (x5) and the tabs (x10) to remove the LH front fender garnish from the vehicle.CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the tabs and clips.
- Repeat step 2 to 6 for the RH side.NOTE: The fasteners that secure the RH front wheel liner to the valance are 4 clips.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift .
- Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect the pedestrian warning speaker electrical connector.NOTE: Do not push down on the red tab. Pull the red tab to disengage the lock, and then pull again to release the electrical connector.NOTE: Edge clip (x1).
- Remove the bolts (x2) and release the clips (x4) that attach the valance to the front fascia assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool
- Ratcheting Combination wrench Flex head 10 mm
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove and discard the clips (x2) that attach the front fascia foam to the fascia assembly, and then remove the foam from the vehicle.
- Release the clips (x10) that attach the valance to the front fascia assembly.
- Remove the screws (x3) that attach the pedestrian warning speaker to the valance, and then remove the speaker from the valance.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T25 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
