Touchscreen (HW3) - Remove And Replace: Install
- Tilt and lower the touchscreen display mechanism onto the display housing.NOTE: Make sure the plastic washers are present.
- Install new bolts (x2) that attach the touchscreen display mechanism to the display housing.
10 N.m (7.4 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the bolt that attaches the touchscreen display housing ground strap to the display mechanism.
4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs)
NOTE: Inspect the bolt and replace if damaged.CAUTION: Failure to reconnect the ground strap will result in touchscreen functionality issues.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- Route the touchscreen harness behind the LH display bracket.
- Position the touchscreen assembly to the instrument panel, connect the touchscreen coax and power electrical connectors (x2), and then secure the clip that attaches the harness to the assembly.NOTE: Make sure the strain relief clip is secure to the linkage arm.NOTE: Replace the clip if damaged.
- Position the touchscreen shroud to the touchscreen assembly, and then secure the tabs (x3) that attach the shroud to the assembly.NOTE: Slide the touchscreen assembly downward until the shroud tabs fully engage.
- Install the touchscreen bracket bolts (x2).
7 N.m (5.2 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Connect the electrical connectors (x2) for the touchscreen tilt motors, if equipped.
- Install the instrument panel service panel. See SERVICE PANEL - INSTRUMENT PANEL (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
- Calibrate the rear doors.NOTE: If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors
- Raise the front windows and close the RH front door.
