Ball Stud - Liftgate - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Use an underhoist stand to support the liftgate.
    NOTE: Place a towel in-between the stand and the liftgate to prevent damage to the liftgate trim.

  4. Release the upper C-clip, separate the LH liftgate power strut from the ball stud, and then move the power strut aside.

  5. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH liftgate ball stud to the vehicle, and then remove the ball stud from the vehicle.

    12 N.m (8.8 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T30 socket
