Sensor - Parking Distance - Outer - Rear - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the rear outer parking distance sensor on the rear fascia.
    NOTE: Verify the sensor is seated flush to rear fascia.

  2. Connect the rear outer parking distance sensor, and then engage the locking tab.
    CAUTION: Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the locking mechanism. DO NOT push down or pull up on the red locking tab.

  3. Install the LH side of the rear fascia on the rear wing bracket.

  4. Install the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the quarter panel.

    1.5 N.m (1.1 ft-lbs)

  5. Position the rear portion of the fender garnish on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x3) and tabs (x7) that attach the fender garnish to the vehicle.

  6. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the rear portion of the rear fender garnish to the wheel arch liner.

    5 N.m (3.7 ft-lbs)

  7. Install the clips (x2) that attach the rear portion of the rear fender garnish to the wheel arch liner.

  8. Connect LV power. See LV POWER (DISCONNECT AND CONNECT) .
    NOTE: After connecting LV power, do not shift the vehicle to Drive until the Toolbox routine (further below) is performed. Failure to do so can trigger vehicle alerts.
  9. Hold the LH and RH upper B-pillar buttons in the "Close" position to manually calibrate the LH and RH rear doors.
  10. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Jack Mode  to deactivate Jack Mode.
  11. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Suspension > Standard  .
  12. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect) .
  13. In Toolbox, click the Actions  tab, type "TEST-RESET_PARK" into the search field, click TEST-RESET_PARK  , click Run  , and then allow the routine to complete.
  14. In Toolbox, click the Actions  tab, type "USS Addresses" into the search field, click PROC_USM_REAR_PROGRAM-USS-ADDRESSES  , click Run  , and then allow the routine to complete.
  15. Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect) .
  16. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
