Carrier - Stanchion - Passive Spoiler - LH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Use IPA wipes to clean the urethane path on the backlight glass assembly.
    NOTE: Allow 1 minute dry time

  2. Apply the primer onto the backlight glass assembly.

  3. Prepare the caulking gun and urethane.
    NOTE: Opening must be 8 mm wide and 14 mm tall.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Caulk and adhesive gun - 1080593-00-A
    • Retractable blade knife
    • Tape measure metric/inch

  4. Apply urethane to the LH passive spoiler glass stanchion carrier.

  5. Remove the back side cover from the adhesive tape, align the LH passive spoiler glass stanchion carrier to the original location marked on the backlight glass, and then apply firm and equal pressure to ensure full adhesion to the glass.

  6. Use IPA wipes to clean and remove excess urethane from the surrounding area of the LH passive spoiler glass stanchion carrier and the backlight glass.

  7. If necessary, remove the masking tape from the original location of the LH passive spoiler stanchion carrier on the backlight glass.
  8. Install the backlight glass. See Backlight Glass (Remove And Install) .
  9. Close the liftgate.
  10. Raise the LH front window.
  11. Close the LH front door.
