Heater Pad - Cushion - 3rd Row - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the LH and RH front doors.
  2. Lower the LH and RH front windows.
  3. Open the LH and RH falcon wing doors.
  4. Move the LH and RH front seats forward.
  5. Move the LH and RH monopost seats forward.
  6. On the touchscreen, touch Controls  > Frunk Open  .
  7. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Open the liftgate.
  9. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  10. Remove the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace) .
  11. Remove the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace) .
  12. On the touchscreen, touch Controls  > Safety & Security  > Power Off  .
  13. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
  14. Remove the LH and RH 3rd row tray harnesses. See TRAY HARNESS - 3RD ROW - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  15. Remove the 3rd row seat cushion. See CUSHION - SEAT - 3RD ROW (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  16. Flip the 3rd row cushion over to access the bottom side of the cushion.
    NOTE: Place the cushion on a protected surface.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Fender cover - 115212-00-A

  17. Release the tabs (x4) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the rear corners of cushion substrate.

  18. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the rear end of the cushion substrate.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in

  19. Feed the 3rd row cushion connectors (x4) through the rear end of the cushion cover.

  20. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the cup holder.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in

  21. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to both sides of the 3rd row cushion substrate.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in

  22. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the front end of the 3rd row cushion substrate.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in

  23. Flip the 3rd row cushion assembly to access the top side.

  24. Starting from the leading edge and working towards the rear of the LH seat cushion, remove the hog rings (x9) and Velcro strips (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the seat cushion.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Diagonal pliers

  25. Remove the 3rd row cushion cover from the LH cushion foam.

  26. Remove the 3rd row LH cushion foam from the cushion substrate.

  27. Use a heat gun to heat the adhesive in the highlighted areas, and then remove the 3rd row seat cushion heat pad from the cushion foam.
    CAUTION: Take caution not to over heat the adhesive to avoid melting material while using heat gun.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Heat gun - 1050454-00-A
