Motor - Seat Track - Driver Seat - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Align the holes (x2) on the driver seat track motor with the locating pin on the seat cushion frame, and then fasten the clip that attaches the driver seat track motor onto the frame.

  2. Fasten the clips (x3) that attach the flexible shaft guide tube to the driver seat track motor frame.

  3. Install the flexible shaft into the driver seat track motor.

  4. Install the track motor bridge into the inboard seat track.
    NOTE: The track motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with inboard track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the track motor bridge into the inboard track until it is fully seated.

  5. Install the outboard seat track to the track motor bridge.
    NOTE: The track motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with outboard track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the outboard track into the track motor bridge until it is fully seated.

  6. Install new outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat track to the seat cushion frame.

    23 N.m (17.0 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T50 socket

  7. Connect the driver seat track motor electrical connector.

  8. Fasten the clip that attaches the driver seat harness to the track bridge.

  9. Connect the driver seat left footwell LED electrical connector.

  10. Fasten the clip that attaches the driver seat harness to the RH side seat track.

  11. Connect the LH lap pretensioner electrical connector, and then secure the safety lock.

  12. Connect the electrical harness to the back rest and cushion adjust switch assembly, and then verify the functions of the seat switches.

  13. Position the driver seat outboard side shield onto the seat, and then install the clips (x7) that attach the side shield to the seat.

    Tip: Apply pressure to the side shield to fully seat the clips. The side shield should sit flush against the seat cushion.

  14. Install the screw that attaches the driver seat outboard side shield to the seat assembly.

    4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T20 socket
    • 2 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  15. Secure the seat back elastic straps (x2) onto the seat frame.

  16. Install the driver seat. See SEAT ASSEMBLY - 1ST ROW - LH (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
  17. Perform a seat calibration. See SEAT - 1ST ROW (CALIBRATION) .
  18. Raise the LH windows and close the LH doors.
