Motor - Seat Tilt - Driver Seat - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Move the driver seat forward.
- Release the lock that attaches the LH front seat belt to the seat.NOTE: Rotate the lock mechanism counter clockwise to release the seat belt.
- Remove the screw that attaches the driver seat outboard side shield to the seat assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove the driver seat cushion adjust button. See BUTTON - CUSHION ADJUST - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the driver seat recliner adjust button. See BUTTON - RECLINER ADJUST - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Carefully release the clips (x7) that attach the driver seat outboard side shield to the seat assembly, but do not fully remove the side shield from the seat assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the seat switch.
- Disconnect the LH driver seat - seat tilt motor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the driver seat - seat tilt motor to the seat assembly.
7.5 N.m (5.5 ft-lbs)
NOTE: Do not remove the fastener for the adjustment arm.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the driver seat - seat tilt motor adjustment arm to the seat assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T40 socket
- Remove the driver seat - seat tilt motor from the seat cushion frame.
