Motor - Seat Tilt - Driver Seat - Remove And Replace: Install
- Position the driver seat - seat tilt motor to seat cushion frame for installationNOTE: Hold the tilt motor up and against the seat frame. Ensure the motor alignment pins are visible in the seat frame.
- Install the bolts (x3) that attach the driver seat - seat tilt motor to the seat assembly.
7.5 N.m (5.5 ft-lbs)
NOTE: Do not remove the fastener for the adjustment arm.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- Install a new bolt that attaches the driver seat - seat tilt motor adjustment arm to the seat assembly.
16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T40 socket
- Connect the driver seat - seat tilt motor electrical connector.
- Connect the electrical harness to the back rest and cushion adjust switch assembly, and then verify the functions of the seat switches.
- Position the driver seat outboard side shield onto the seat, and then install the clips (x7) that attach the side shield to the seat.
Tip: Apply pressure to the side shield to fully seat the clips. The side shield should sit flush against the seat cushion.
- Install the driver seat recliner adjust button. See BUTTON - RECLINER ADJUST - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Install the driver seat cushion adjust button. See BUTTON - CUSHION ADJUST - DRIVER SEAT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Install the screw that attaches the driver seat outboard side shield to the seat assembly.
4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Position the LH front seat belt to the seat, and then engage the lock mechanism that attaches the LH front seat belt to the seat.NOTE: Rotate the lock clockwise to reattach the seat belt.
- Perform a seat calibration. See SEAT - 1ST ROW (CALIBRATION) .
- Move the driver seat to the original position.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
