Racetrack Trim - Front - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the LH and RH front doors.
  2. Lower the LH and RH front windows.
  3. Open the LH and RH falcon wing doors.
  4. Move the LH front seat rearward.
  5. Remove the LH sun visor bezel A-pillar trim. See TRIM - A-PILLAR - SUN VISOR BEZEL - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  6. Remove the bolts (x2), screw, and nut that attach the LH upper A-pillar trim to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Discard the nut after removal.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 2 in extension
    • 10 mm hex
    • 13 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T20 socket

  7. Move the LH upper A-pillar trim to gain access to the headliner.

  8. Remove the screw that attaches the LH front end of the headliner to the vehicle.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 2 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T20 socket

  9. Move the LH front seat forward.
  10. Release the LH front door seal from the B-pillar trim.

  11. Remove the LH front sill panel trim. See TRIM - SILL PANEL - FRONT - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  12. Remove the LH rear sill panel trim. See TRIM - SILL PANEL - REAR - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  13. Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See TRIM - B-PILLAR - LOWER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  14. Release the clips (x3) and magnets (x2) that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim to the B-pillar, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door button electrical connector.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
    • Pocket screwdriver

  15. Move the LH upper B-pillar trim aside.

  16. Partially release the clips (x5) that attach the LH front headliner to the vehicle.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool

  17. Remove the screw that attaches the LH front racetrack trim to the spine racetrack.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T20 socket

  18. Starting at the bottom of the LH front racetrack trim and working upwards, release the clips (x22) that attach the racetrack trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
