Bracket - Tie Down - Rear Trunk - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the LH and RH front doors.
  2. Lower the LH and RH front windows.
  3. Move the driver and front passenger seats forward.
  4. Open the LH and RH falcon wing doors.
  5. Fold down the LH and RH 2nd row bench seats.
  6. Open the liftgate.
  7. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See TRUNK LOAD FLOOR - REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  8. Remove the front trunk load floor. See TRUNK LOAD FLOOR - FRONT (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  9. Remove the trunk gap hider. See GAP HIDER - TRUNK (5 SEAT) (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  10. Release the clip and tabs (x3) that attach the LH trunk side mini nub to the LH trunk load floor bracket.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool

  11. Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH trunk sill side trim to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool

  12. Release the clips (x4) that attach the RH trunk sill side trim to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool

  13. Remove the trunk sill trim. See TRIM - SILL - TRUNK (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  14. Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See TRIM - C-PILLAR - MID - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  15. Remove the LH upper C-pillar trim. See TRIM - C-PILLAR - UPPER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  16. Remove the LH rear sill panel trim. See TRIM - SILL PANEL - REAR - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  17. Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See TRIM - C-PILLAR - LOWER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  18. Release the clips (x2) and push clips (x4) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool

  19. Fold the trunk carpet upward.
  20. Remove the LH rear trunk crush can bracket. See TRIM - CRUSH CAN - REAR TRUNK - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  21. Release the push clip that attaches the LH soft trim pocket bracket to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool

  22. Release the fir tree clip that attaches the charge port manual cable release to the LH mid C-pillar zone bracket.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool

  23. Remove the LH mid C-pillar zone bracket. See BRACKET - ZONE - C-PILLAR - MID - LH (5 SEAT) (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  24. Release the LH rear trunk tie down ring that attaches the side trim carpet to the tie down.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool
    • Pocket screwdriver

  25. Remove the LH trunk side trim carpet. See CARPET - TRIM - TRUNK - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  26. Remove the LH rear trunk tie down. See TIE DOWN - REAR TRUNK - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  27. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the LH rear trunk tie down bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
