Latch - Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) - Glove Box - Remove And Replace: Install

Position the SMA latch onto the glove box:
1. Route the manual release cable into the glove box housing.
2. Secure the electrical harness into the mounting points (x2).
3. Insert the SMA latch assembly arms into the glove box door.

Install the SMA latch screws (x2).
2 N.m (1.5 ft-lbs)

Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Secure the outboard and inboard SMA latch locator plates, and then attach the screws (x4).
2 N.m (1.5 ft-lbs)

- Torx T20 bit

Install the glove box. See GLOVE BOX (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
Install the front passenger knee airbag. See Knee Airbag - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace) .
Install the RH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace) .
Install the front passenger footwell cover. See COVER - FOOTWELL - PASSENGER (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
Install the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
Install the RH instrument panel end cap. See END CAP - INSTRUMENT PANEL - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
Install the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace) .
Install the front passenger floor mat.
Install the RH instrument panel middle trim. See TRIM - MIDDLE - INSTRUMENT PANEL - RH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
Fasten the tabs (x4) that attach the IP closeout panel.

Install the touchscreen. See Touchscreen - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
Install the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace) .
Install the center console phone dock. See Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace) .
Reconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
Restore the front passenger seat back to its original position.
Calibrate the LH and RH rear doors by holding each upper B-pillar button in the down position.
Raise the LH and RH front windows.
Close the LH front door.
