Glove Box - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
- Move front passenger seat rearward.
- Remove the front passenger floor mat.
- Remove the passenger footwell cover. See COVER - FOOTWELL - PASSENGER (REMOVE AND REPLACE)
- Remove the RH center console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH IP end cap. See END CAP - INSTRUMENT PANEL - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Remove the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the cabin temperature sensor fan from the service panel.
- Remove the touchscreen assembly. See Touchscreen (Remove and Replace)
.NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the display mechanism from the touchscreen after the assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
- Remove the RH instrument panel middle trim. See TRIM - MIDDLE - INSTRUMENT PANEL - RH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the front passenger knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace)
.NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the components from the knee airbag assembly after the assembly has been removed from the IP.
- Remove the screws (x5) that attach the glove box to the vehicle, and then release the glove box from the instrument panel.
3 N.m (2.2 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- Disconnect the glove box electrical connectors (x3).
- Remove the screws (x2) and release the clip that attach the USB outlet to the glove box assembly, and then remove the outlet from the assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- Remove the glove box from the vehicle.
