Seal - Body - Side - Rear - Primary - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
- Remove the LH upper rear door glass assembly. See DOOR GLASS ASSEMBLY - REAR - UPPER - LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Remove the LH sun visor bezel A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Sun Visor Bezel - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the bolts (x2), screw, and nut that attach the LH upper A-pillar trim to the vehicle.NOTE: Discard the nut after removal.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 2 in extension
- 10 mm hex
- 13 mm hex
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T20 socket
- Move the LH upper A-pillar trim for access to the headliner.
- Remove the screw that attaches the LH front end of the headliner to the vehicle.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 2 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T20 socket
- Move the LH front seat forward.
- Release the LH front door seal from the B-pillar trim.
- Remove the LH front door sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the LH rear door sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Release the clips (x3) and magnets (x2) that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim to the B-pillar, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door button electrical connector.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool
- Plastic trim tool
- Pocket screwdriver
- Move the LH upper B-pillar trim aside.
- Open the liftgate.
- Fold the LH 3rd row seat back into the down position.
- Remove the LH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Open the LH and RH side rear coat hooks.NOTE: Push the coat hooks inward, and then release to open.
- Remove the screws that attach the LH and RH rear coat hooks to the body.
2.5 N.m (1.8 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket
NOTE: LH shown; RH similar - Release the clips (x11) that attach the LH side of the headliner to the body, and then partially release the headliner from the body.
- Remove the screw that attaches the LH front racetrack trim to the spine racetrack.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T20 socket
- Starting at the bottom of the LH front racetrack trim and working upwards, release the clips (x22) that attach the racetrack trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool
- Plastic trim tool
- Remove the screw that secures the LH rear racetrack trim to the spine racetrack.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T20 socket
- Release the clips (x21) that attach the LH rear racetrack trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.NOTE: Release the clips from the bottom of the trim first, and then work towards the top.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool
- Release the clips (x6) that attach the inboard side of the LH lower racetrack trim to the vehicle, rotate the trim upwards to release the clips (x2) that attach the trim to the lower B-pillar racetrack bracket, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Plastic trim tool
- Remove the LH falcon wing door primary strut covers (x2).
- Release the clips (x8) that attach the LH upper racetrack trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle.NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool
- Release the LH primary rear side body seal from the body, and then remove the seal from the vehicle.NOTE: Pull the seal inward to remove as much tape as possible from the body. Shift the seal up and over the LH rear door to fully remove it.
- Remove residual adhesive from the body.NOTE: Remove the majority of the residual adhesive with the an eraser wheel, and then wipe with IPA.NOTE: Removal may be more difficult when exposed to heat.NOTE: Allow 1 minute of dry time.
