Cable - Cinch - Liftgate - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the liftgate cinching actuator from the vehicle. See ACTUATOR - CINCHING - LIFTGATE (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  2. Disconnect the liftgate latch electrical connector.

  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the liftgate latch to the liftgate.

    10 N.m (7.4 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T30 socket

  4. Remove the liftgate latch from the liftgate, and then release the liftgate cinch cable from latch arm.
    NOTE: Handle carefully so as to not cause damage to the emergency release cable.
