Bracket - Support - Shotgun - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift .
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the underhood storage unit access panel. See Underhood Storage Unit Access Panel (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove And Install) .
- Remove the LH shock tower cover. See Cover - Shock Tower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect the LH front wheel speed sensor inline electrical connector, and then release the clip.
- Remove the center upper bolt that attaches the LH front fender to the shotgun support bracket.
8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
NOTE: Hold the fender in place so it does not fall when the rest of the bolts are removed. - Remove the bolt that attaches the LH headlight to the LH shotgun support bracket.
5.9 N.m (4.4 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Disconnect the LH front damper harness inline electrical connector.
- Release the LH front damper harness clip from the body bracket, and then route out towards the wheel arch liner.
- Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install) .
- Remove the LH front wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Release the push clip for the windshield washer fluid bottle neck.
- Remove the bolt that attaches the damper harness body bracket to the LH shotgun support bracket.
4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Position an oil drain container underneath the LH front corner of the vehicle.
- Remove the nut that attaches the LH front brake hose to the LH shotgun support bracket.
7 N.m (5.2 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Disconnect the LH front brake hose nut from the 4 tube bundle LH front brake line.
16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 12 mm 12-point combination wrench
NOTE: Catch any brake fluid lost in the oil drain container. - Release the clip that attaches the LH front jounce hose to the LH shotgun support bracket.
- Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH shotgun support bracket to the body, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
30 N.m (22.1 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T40 socket
