Bracket - Support - Shotgun - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift .
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Remove the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Remove the underhood storage unit access panel. See Underhood Storage Unit Access Panel (Remove And Replace) .
  7. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove And Install) .
  8. Remove the LH shock tower cover. See Cover - Shock Tower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  9. Disconnect the LH front wheel speed sensor inline electrical connector, and then release the clip.

  10. Remove the center upper bolt that attaches the LH front fender to the shotgun support bracket.

    8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket
    NOTE: Hold the fender in place so it does not fall when the rest of the bolts are removed.

  11. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH headlight to the LH shotgun support bracket.

    5.9 N.m (4.4 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm socket

  12. Disconnect the LH front damper harness inline electrical connector.

  13. Release the LH front damper harness clip from the body bracket, and then route out towards the wheel arch liner.

  14. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install) .
  15. Remove the LH front wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  16. Release the push clip for the windshield washer fluid bottle neck.

  17. Remove the bolt that attaches the damper harness body bracket to the LH shotgun support bracket.

    4 N.m (2.9 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket

  18. Position an oil drain container underneath the LH front corner of the vehicle.

  19. Remove the nut that attaches the LH front brake hose to the LH shotgun support bracket.

    7 N.m (5.2 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket

  20. Disconnect the LH front brake hose nut from the 4 tube bundle LH front brake line.

    16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 12 mm 12-point combination wrench
    NOTE: Catch any brake fluid lost in the oil drain container.

  21. Release the clip that attaches the LH front jounce hose to the LH shotgun support bracket.

  22. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH shotgun support bracket to the body, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.

    30 N.m (22.1 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T40 socket
