Motor - Seat Tilt - Driver Seat - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open LH doors and lower the LH windows.
  2. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  3. Disconnect the LH driver seat, seat tilt motor electrical connector.

  4. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the driver seat, seat tilt motor to the seat assembly.

    7.5 N.m (5.5 ft-lbs) 

    NOTE: Do not remove the fastener for the adjustment arm.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 8 mm socket

  5. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the driver seat, seat tilt motor adjustment arm to the seat assembly.

    16 N.m (11.8 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Torx T40 socket

  6. Remove the driver seat, seat tilt motor from the seat cushion frame.
