Closeout Panel - Door - Rear - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the butyl patch that covers the closeout panel opening.
- Pull the white tab to release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LH rear door handle controller electrical connector.
- Remove the screw that attaches the LH rear door handle controller to the LH rear door closeout panel.
Torque 2 N.m
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 2 in extension
- Release the retainer tabs that attach the LH rear door handle controller to the closeout panel assembly, and then remove the controller from the assembly.
- Disconnect the LH rear door pressure sensor electrical connector.NOTE: DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
- Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the door assembly.
Torque 4 N.m
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 2 in extension
- Release the clips (x3) that attach the wiring harness to the LH rear door closeout panel, and then remove the closeout panel from the vehicle.NOTE: Release the clips from the back of panel to prevent damage.
