Latch - Hood (Single Actuator) - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the double pull single actuator hood latch onto the front end carrier assembly, and then install the bolts that attach the latch to the assembly.

    Torque 10 N.m 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension

  2. Install the hood latch actuator and cable into the double pull single actuator hood latch assembly.
    NOTE: Make sure the tabs are fully engaged onto the hood latch assembly.

  3. Connect the double pull single actuator hood latch wiring harness electrical connector.
    NOTE: Push the red locking tab into the connector to engage the connector lock.

  4. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Install the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Install the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  7. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Close the hood.
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
