Latch - Door - Front - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the LH front door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)
- Remove the remaining clip retainers from the LH front door.NOTE: The number of retainers will vary with each removal.
- Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the LH front door closeout panel from the door assembly, release the closeout panel from the door assembly, and then route the handle cable through the closeout panel to remove it from the assembly.
4.5 N.m (3.3 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- 2 in extension
- Connect the window master switch to the LH front door harness, and then fully raise the LH front window.NOTE: Connect the door panel x927 if the switch kit is not available.
- Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front door latch to the door assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T45 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH front door release cable and harness to the door assembly.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LH front door latch assembly electrical connector.
- Carefully maneuver the LH front door latch assembly around the window regulator, and then remove it from the vehicle.
