Cover - Striker - Trunk - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  3. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Use a pocket screwdriver to push the pin that attaches the trunk striker cover to the trunk sill trim, and then remove the cover from the trim.
    NOTE: Hold the spring while removing the pin to prevent it from ejecting from the assembly.
    NOTE: Use a punch and hammer if necessary.
