Trim - Seat Back -- 2nd Row -- RH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the RH 2nd row seat back trim onto the RH 2nd row seat back foam.

  2. Use hog ring pliers to crimp the hog rings (x3) to secure the RH 2nd row seat back trim to the 2nd row seat back foam.
    NOTE: Place the hog ring into the hog ring pliers prior to installation.
    NOTE: Push down on foam to allow access if necessary.

  3. Secure the velcro that attaches the RH 2nd row seat back trim to the 2nd row seat back foam.

  4. Install the RH 2nd row seat back insert into the cushion assembly.
    NOTE: Negotiate the heat pad harness under the substrate harness

  5. Pull the top portion of RH 2nd row seat back trim up and onto the RH 2nd row seat back insert.

  6. Secure the hooks (x6) and clips (x2) that attach the top portion of RH 2nd row seat back trim to the RH 2nd row seat back insert.

  7. Secure the clips (x5) that attach the RH 2nd row seat back trim to the RH 2nd row seat back insert.
    NOTE: Negotiate the clips around the substrate harness.

  8. Secure the clips (x2) that attach the RH 2nd row backrest cushion heat pad harness to the seat back insert.

  9. Secure the hooks (x2) that attach the bottom portion of the RH 2nd row seat back trim to the RH 2nd row seat back insert.
    NOTE: Negotiate the trim under the harness.

  10. Connect the RH 2nd row seat back substrate harness electrical connectors (x2).

  11. Position the RH 2nd row backrest cushion onto the RH 2nd row backrest, connect the backrest harness electrical connector, and then secure the clips (x8) that attach the cushion to the backrest.
    NOTE: Secure the lower clips first, then connect backrest harness.
    NOTE: Ensure all clips are properly seated.

  12. Fold the RH 2nd row seat back to the down position.
  13. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the RH 2nd row backrest cushion to the back frame.

    8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket

  14. Install the LH and RH 2nd row backrest guide locks. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove And Replace) 
  15. Install the RH 2nd row headrest. See Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Remove And Replace) 
  16. Install the RH 2nd row seat back panel. See Back Panel - 2nd Row Seat - RH (Remove And Replace) .
  17. Install the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat back harness to the pivot bracket.

  18. Connect the RH 2nd row seat back harness electrical connector.

  19. Fold the RH 2nd row seat to the up position.
  20. Install the RH 2nd row seat side bolster. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  21. Close the RH rear door.
  22. Restore the front passenger seat back to its original position.
  23. Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
