Sensor - Parking Distance - Outer - Rear (HW3) - Remove And Replace: Remove

NOTE: This procedure is applicable to sensors S7, S8, S11, and S12.

  1. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls Suspension Very High  .
  2. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls Service Jack Mode  to activate Jack Mode.
  3. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect And Connect) .
  4. Remove the push clips (x4) that attach the rear wheel arch liner to the front fascia, and then move the wheel arch liner to the side.

  5. If servicing sensors 8 or 11:

    1. Remove the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the LH fender bracket.
      NOTE: 1x screw, T25, 5 N.m, Flex liner against tire

    2. Release LH fascia edge from fender bracket.

  6. Disconnect the electrical harness from the parking distance sensor.
    CAUTION: DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

  7. Release the tabs that attach the parking distance sensor to the front fascia, and then remove the sensor from the fascia.
