Hinge - Hood - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the hood from the vehicle. See HOOD (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
  2. Release the clip that attaches the LH gas strut to the hood hinge, and then remove the strut from the assembly.

  3. Apply masking tape to the LH hinge location to aid in alignment during install.

  4. Remove the bolts that attaches the LH hood hinge to the body.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 13 mm swivel ball socket

  5. Remove the LH hood hinge from the vehicle.
