Latch - Liftgate - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the liftgate lower trim. See Trim - Liftgate - Lower (Remove and Replace) .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch.

  3. Remove the bolts that attach the latch to the liftgate lid, and then remove the latch from the vehicle.
    NOTE: The latch has tabs on the backside. Slide the latch upwards to release the tabs from the liftgate.
    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
